Who We Are

People eating supper after church

We are a big bunch of pretty normal Sydney-siders. We've got all sorts of different backgrounds and we do all sorts of different things during the week.

But the thing we've got in common, and the reason we keep meeting together, is because we love God and his Son, Jesus Christ. And we want to keep helping each other live for him in every way.

We are also evangelical and Anglican...

  • being evangelical means that we are committed to the 'evangel', the extraordinarily good news that Jesus came and lived and died to bring sinners back to God. It also means that the Bible is our supreme authority for what we believe and how we should live.
  • being Anglican means that our theological and historical heritage is the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. It also means that we are in partnership with other churches throughout the Sydney Diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia.

When and where we meet

We meet on Sunday nights at 6:45pm at the Christ Church building on the corner of Cowan and Mona Vale Roads (6pm in Summer). Click here to find us.

The formal part of church usually ends just after 8pm, and then there's heaps of time to stick around and chat to people.

Why we meet

The reason we keep meeting together is because we are convinced that what the Bible teaches us about God and his son Jesus Christ is true. He is as relevant for people in Sydney today as today's newspaper.

We want to help each other:

  • learn more about Jesus' life and death and resurrection
  • think really hard about what Jesus means for the way that we live today
  • think really hard about what Jesus means for our world.
